Mike Eman líder de AVP, presentó su lista de ministros al Gobernador de Aruba Fredis Refunjol antes de lo que muchos esperaban.

Eman anunció la división de las carteras del Gabinete y de la siguiente manera: Arthur Dowers se convertirá en Ministro de Justicia y Educación; Benny Sevinger será ministro de Infraestructura y Medio Ambiente, Michelle Winklaar es ser Ministro de Asuntos Económicos, Asuntos Sociales y Cultura, Otmar Oduber será ministro de Turismo y Asuntos Laborales, Mike de Meza está programado para el Ministro de Hacienda, Transportes y Servicios Públicos, y Richard Visser se convertirá en Ministro de Salud Pública y Deportes. 

Eman a sí mismo se convertirá en Primer Ministro y Ministro de Asuntos Generales, por supuesto. 

La mayoría de nuevo de color verde en el Parlamento también apoya la recomendación de Andy Lee como próximo Presidente del Parlamento. René Herde se convertirá en líder de una facción de AVP, mientras Edwin Abath, que estaba en la lista electoral, se convertirá en Ministro Plenipotenciario de Aruba en los Países Bajos. 

Este último puesto se había ofrecido a Paul Croes inicialmente, pero él se negó. Eman: "Hay algunos que dicen que uno también puede hacer una carrera política en el extranjero, mientras que otros dicen que esto se tiene que hacer cerca de casa. Croes optó por la segunda y pasará al Parlamento. 

"Consideramos que es importante para formar el Consejo de Ministros y la facción del Parlamento ahora, como queremos utilizar octubre para negociar con los interlocutores sociales y organizaciones. Queríamos hacer tan pronto como sea posible a fin de centrarse en el contenido. 

"También hemos tratado de ganar tiempo para que los nuevos ministros podrían prepararse bien para sus tareas", dijo la persona encargada de formar el nuevo gobierno, en la rápida formación del gabinete. 

Se especuló durante la semana pasada sobre una posible coalición con el PDR, que había adquirido un escaño en las elecciones. Eman: "Tan pronto como las elecciones han terminado, me revisó la posibilidad de formar una coalición con la Democracia Real, pero no había apoyo suficiente para que este dentro del partido. 

"Sin embargo, hay un apoyo importante para la idea de que la Democracia Real es todavía una facción diferente que la de diputado al Parlamento Europeo. Por supuesto, también tenemos que esperar y ver si esto es realmente el caso, pero dentro de AVP no es ciertamente la visión de introducir las ideas de Democracia Real en nuestra política, ya que estas ideas están en consonancia con la nuestra en su mayor parte". 

Futuros ministros se sentarán en el antiguo edificio de administración en lugar de en las oficinas utilizadas por el Gobierno del MEP. "Actualmente estamos haciendo accesible y listo para usar. Se encuentra en un estado deplorable, pero invitamos a todos a darnos una mano". 

Eman invitará a los interlocutores sociales para que las conversaciones durante las próximas tres semanas. "Durante ese período también se hará más espacios en el edificio listo para su uso por los demás ministros, para que al menos la mayoría del Consejo de Ministros puede trabajar en el edificio administrativo", dice. 

El cuidador Oduber Gabinete, por su propia cuenta, quiere tenerlo todo en la punta de orden superior para el próximo gobierno y para acordar la supresión del impuesto sobre las ventas BBO y el aumento de las prestaciones sociales y el salario mínimo antes de la transferencia, como prometió el AVP en la campaña. 

Eman: "Si también se encargaría de esto de acuerdo a nuestros deseos que sería genial. Luego, aún pueden tener algún bipartidismo al final de su gobierno, aunque no creo que ésa era la intención. " 

El líder del AVP dijo que había enviado una carta al gobierno y al gobernador para asegurarse de que la transferencia de tareas y otros asuntos corría tan suavemente como sea posible ", que es común en otros países más maduros". Sin embargo, "con toda honestidad" espera que el gobierno de diputado no se ajusten a la presente. 

Eman también niega la alegación del Primer Ministro saliente Nelson Oduber de que Mike de Meza, Otmar Oduber y Benny Sevinger no son candidatos elegibles para ser ministros en vista de las cuestiones de justicia actual. "El proceso de formación incluye una planificación por etapas, donde la persona encargada de formar el nuevo gobierno, junto con el gobernador y con la asistencia del Servicio de Seguridad, revisa todos los documentos y todas las historias de los ministros de candidatos. Sé que todos ellos, y no uno de ellos ha sido considerado no elegible".

Eman submits list Cabinet Members

AVP leader Mike Eman submitted his list of ministers to Aruba Governor Fredis Refunjol sooner than many had expected. Eman: “There are some who say that one can also make a political career abroad, while others say this has to be done close to home. Croes opted for the latter and will go to Parliament. “We considered it important to form the Council of Ministers and the parliament faction now, as we want to use October to negotiate with social partners and organisations. We wanted to do such as soon as possible in order to focus on content. “We have also tried to gain some time so that the new ministers could prepare themselves well for their tasks,” said the person in charge of forming the new government, on the quick formation of the cabinet. There was speculation during the past week on a possible coalition with PDR, which had acquired a seat in the elections. Eman: “As soon as the elections had finished, I reviewed the possibility of forming a coalition with Democracia Real, but there was not sufficient support for this within the party. “However, there is significant support for the idea that Democracia Real is still a different faction than that of MEP. Of course, we must also wait and see if this is actually the case, but within AVP there is certainly the vision of introducing ideas from Democracia Real in our policy, as these ideas are in line with ours for the greater part.” Prospective ministers will be seated in the former Administration Building rather than in offices used by the MEP Government. “We are currently making it accessible and ready for use. It is in a deplorable state, but we invite everyone to give us a hand.” Eman will invite the social partners there for conversations during the next three weeks. “During that period we will also be making more spaces in the building ready for use for the other ministers, so that at least the majority of the Council of Ministers can work in the Administrative Building,” he says. The caretaker Oduber Cabinet, by its own account, wants to have everything in tip-top order for the next government and to arrange the abolition of the BBO sales tax and the increase of social benefits and minimum wages before the transfer, as promised by AVP in the campaign. Eman: “If they would also arrange for this according to our wishes it would be great. Then we might still have some bi-partisanship at the end of their government, even though I do not think that was the intention.” The AVP leader said he had forwarded a letter to government and the governor to make sure the transfer of tasks and other matters ran as smoothly as possible, “which is common in other, more mature countries.” However, he “in all honesty” expects that the MEP government will not comply with this. Eman also denies outgoing Prime Minister Nelson Oduber’s allegation that Mike de Meza, Otmar Oduber and Benny Sevinger are not eligible candidates to become ministers in view of current justice issues. “The formation process includes a phased planning, where the person in charge of forming the new government, together with the governor and with the assistance of the Security Service, reviews all documents and all histories of candidate ministers. I know all of them, and not one of them has been considered ineligible.”
